2026 was my first year here at LYLP, and everything about it was truly special. The staff and counselors were always kind, supportive, and engaged. We had amazing food and were constantly doing activities, from playing basketball to build confidence, to learning about financial literacy, swimming every day, and even hearing Governor Maura Healey speak to the camp. The things you get exposed to here at LYLP are unlike anything I have ever experienced before.

I truly believe in what LYLP is doing. Not only do they do their absolute best to make us better leaders, but I also believe LYLP prepares us for life in general. Take it from me—not just as the camp ambassador, but as a 14-year-old who is going into my first year of high school. In all honesty, I was kind of nervous that I would have nobody to talk to or hang out with, and I felt a little lost. Before joining LYLP, I had never been to a summer camp, and I was nervous to step out of my comfort zone.

Since I joined LYLP, all of my worries have resolved. I have met many great people who will not only be my friends in high school, but who are also fantastic role models. LYLP has made me a better person by helping me become more confident and social. At the end of the day, LYLP is a place for everyone. It is a place where everybody comes together for four weeks to have fun, grow, and strive to be part of something bigger than themselves. I believe LYLP is the place to be, and I believe something truly special happens here. That is why I am both honored and proud to be the ambassador for LYLP.
